Who We Are
PHOTOGRAPHER
Madiha Aijaz studied at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVS) in Karachi, and at Parsons in New York City.
She was awarded the Fulbright scholarship in 2007. Since 2002 she has worked as a photographer, film producer and
writer.
She received the Commonwealth prize for a radio short in 2011 and has exhibited animations and photographs in the
United States, South Africa and Pakistan.
She has traveled through Asia, Central America, Europe and North America for some of her projects. She is currently
heading the postgraduate diploma programme in photography at IVS and also teaches undergraduate courses in photography.
WRITER
Annie Ali Khan is a freelance journalist/writer and former fashion model from New York via Karachi, Pakistan.
Her work has been published in The Caravan, Marie Claire, Glamour, Asia Society website, Express Tribune and Dawn.
Annie holds a Masters degree in print journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Sir Syed University, Karachi.
Her television experience includes working for Al Jazeera English (NY), Voice of America: Urdu Division, Geo TV, Hum TV, Aaj TV, Business Plus and Telebiz.
Annie loves traveling and divides her time between New York and Karachi.
